Local Corporations Giving Back!

Volunteers from two major local companies spent their Community Impact Day at Focus On Renewal!

On Thursday, June 6, volunteers from the McKees Rocks Branch of KeyBank spent the afternoon with Focus On Renewal’s Sto-Rox Public Library.  During their time with us, volunteers cleaned out an organized part of the Library in preparation for our Summer Reading Program scheduled to begin on Monday, June 10.  McKees Rocks branch Asst. Vice-President Jonathan Royster coordinated the project with FOR staff.

Then, on Friday, June 7, volunteers from Deloitte’s Pittsburgh office, spent the day throughout Focus On Renewal’s buildings.  At our FOR’s Father Ryan Arts Center & Sto-Rox Library and Community Resource Center, the volunteers tidied our buildings, performed a much needed organization and clear-out of a large storage area, painted rooms and hallways, cleared out outdoor areas, and did yard work.  At our Family Foundations location on Helen Street, the volunteers painted a huge porch and handicapped accessible ramp, did yard work, and storage cleanout. Volunteers from Deloitte also made gift bags for children and seniors.  Deloitte purchased all supplies needed for the day’s work.  Deloitte Team Members, Maryann Holland and Kim Buchheit coordinated the day with FOR Staff.

We sincerely thank KeyBank and Deloitte! Our buildings look amazing, and our clients were very grateful to receive gift bags!
