Peterson’s Test and Career Prep Database

Become familiar with standardized tests including the SATs, ACT and GED exam, research colleges and tuition costs and learn about different careers with this free online database. You will need a library card to get started.

Drumming

with Mr. Donnie Reid
Mondays, 5:30 – 7pm
Ages 7-17

This course aims to equip you with the fundamentals of playing the drum kit. You will be introduced to the basic rhythms and grooves of the drum kit. As we progress, we will teach you different drum beat permutations and patterns. We will also discuss how these beats and rhythms can fit into different songs. Creative Design

Ages 11-17

Learn the basics of Cricut design, from creating your design, cutting, weeding and seeing your creation before your very own eyes. STEAM Rulers

Tuesdays, 3:30 – 4:30pm
Ages 12-17

Our maker space is currently operating as an open learning environment with guidance and resources to learn based on individual interests. Current equipment available for use are two new Makerbot Replicator+ 3D printers, MacBook computers, I-pads, Raspberry Pi, Arduino based Robotic kits or learn some electronics building an am/fm radio. Experienced instructor on site in the lower level of the Community Resource Center. Whether you want to dive in and learn something or just stop by and see this incredible community resource, you can join us to help get a maker community going here in Sto-Rox. Sto-Rox CoderDojo meets virtually for individuals interested in computer programming/coding. Currently an online group is working on varied interests from Scratch programming to coding with LUA in Roblox Studio, python and some 3D Modeling.
