FOR McKees Rocks Family Center

Having a safe space for parents and kids to come and exchange ideas helps keep families strong. As part of the Allegheny County Family Centers network, we provide families with a range of activities, events and programs. We welcome all, so let us know how we can support your family and children.

What We Do:  Current programs include a Diaper Bank, Parent Groups, Community Events, Teen Time, Family Playgroups, and Beverly’s Birthdays.

Our staff can also assist with finding the following resources for you:  Housing Assistance, Mental Health Support, Utility Payment Assistance, Food Pantries.

Kindergarten Readiness

Our dynamic Pre-K program has helped thousands of children over the years start school with confidence. For children age three to five, we host two three-hour sessions (9 am to noon and 1 to 4 pm) Monday through Thursday.

Family Dinner

Program families gather once a month to enjoy a family-style meal with games and activities.

Engagement Activities

Join the McKees Rocks Family Center and you’re welcome to join all our families for outings, field trips, picnics and more.

Teen Time

Teen Time is a once-a-week initiative designed to support youth in grades 7 through 12.  The program provides a nurturing environment for personal growth, educational support, and mental well-being. The program is built around four core pillars: mentoring, creative expression through journaling, engaging activities, and access to mental health resources in a safe environment.
