Community Resource Center

Need help finding resources? Our Community Resource Center is here to guide you. Our CRC Coordinator provides access to food and nutrition programs, critical needs assistance when funding is available, and referrals to services throughout the community. Whether you’re looking for help with basic needs, housing support, mental health resources, or other services, we’re here to point you in the right direction. If Focus On Renewal doesn’t provide the support you’re seeking, we’ll connect you with one of our many community partners. We are also proud to host a North Hills Community Outreach field office within our CRC, bringing even more resources closer to the community we serve.

CRC Programs & Services

Food & Nutrition Services

No one should go hungry.  As food prices continue to soar, many community members struggle to put food on the table.  Our Food and Nutrition Services are here to help.  Weekly Food Pantry, Emergency Food Boxes, and Senior Food Boxes are available.

Focus On Renewal recognizes that pets are an important part of families, and when hardships arise, pet owners may be faced with choosing to feed themselves or their pets.  Focus On Renewal offers a Pet Food Pantry with a variety of food and treats for cats and dogs.

Housing Support Services

Focus On Renewal is now a HUD-Certified Agency.  We offer a variety of housing support services such as rental assistance, budgeting assistance, housing searches, referral services to partnering agencies, and eviction and foreclosure prevention.

FOR also offers educational workshops for first-time homebuyers, renters, and  landlords.  These workshops enhance financial literacy, educate participants on their rights and responsibilities as tenants or landlords, and promote sustainable homeownership.

Critical Needs Emergency Fund Program

Qualified families that live in the 15136 zip code may receive emergency assistance up to $500 based upon funds available from the Critical Needs Emergency Fund Program. These funds can help cover items such as a major appliance repair, past due utilities, funeral expenses, and fire expenses. Proof of the amount needed or owed will need to be provided and confirmed. All funds are paid directly by Focus on Renewal to the organization being paid.
