Housing Support Program

FOR offers a variety of critical housing support services such as rental assistance, budgeting assistance, housing searches, referral services to partnering agencies, eviction prevention, and foreclosure prevention. These services play a vital role in ensuring housing stability for low-income individuals and families in McKees Rocks. By providing support in times of financial hardship, FOR helps prevent homelessness, strengthens community resilience, and fosters a sense of security among residents.
FOR also offers educational workshops, including first-time homebuyer workshops, renters’ rights workshops, and landlord-tenant forums.  These workshops are an invaluable resource for empowering residents with knowledge and skills to make informed housing decisions. These workshops enhance financial literacy, educate participants on their rights and responsibilities as tenants or landlords, and promote sustainable homeownership. By increasing housing knowledge and awareness, FOR contributes to building a more informed and empowered community.
